Before your appointment, please follow these guidelines:
Skin Care Products: Refrain from using any skin thinners, such as products containing Vitamin A, Glycolic Acids, or exfoliants, on the brow area for a minimum of two weeks prior to your appointment.
Waxing, Tinting, and Shaping: Any waxing, tinting, or brow shaping should be completed at least 4 weeks before your scheduled appointment.
Botox and Fillers: If you are considering cosmetic botox or fillers, it’s advisable to have these procedures done at least 4 weeks before your appointment.
Blood Thinners: Do not consume alcohol or take blood-thinning medications like Aspirin, Ibuprofen, or Niacin for 48 hours leading up to the procedure. These substances can lead to excess bleeding and potentially affect the results.
Brow Drawing: You are welcome to come in with your brows drawn as you typically do. This is especially valuable if you have a specific brow shape in mind. However, if you’re open to suggestions, our team is here to help design a custom brow that complements your individual style.
Sensitivity: Please be aware that you may experience heightened sensitivity or increased discomfort, especially around or during your menstrual cycle.
Blemishes, Sores, and Moles: We cannot perform tattooing over any blemishes, sores, or moles in or around the brow area.
Following these instructions will help ensure a successful and comfortable cosmetic tattooing experience.
Like with a tattoo, it really depends on your pain tolerance, but a topical numbing agent can be applied beforehand. We also use second numbing to numb during the procedure to ensure comfort throughout the tattoo session.
- The entire procedure typically takes around 3-4 hours from start to finish. This includes the initial consultation, filling out the consent form, drawing the desired shape, outlining, numbing the brows, and implanting the pigment.
- Absolutely, as long as it’s done in strict adherence to safety standards. Renee Beaute uses brand new single-use sterile needles, and all supplies required for ombre powder procedures are single-use as well. Additionally, we cover all parts of equipment that can’t be disinfected or discarded with single-use plastic film barriers. Our artists wear new disposable masks and aprons, and gloves are changed for each client during the procedure, ensuring everyone’s safety.
Recovery from cosmetic tattooing can vary from person to person, but here is a general overview of what to expect:
Immediate Post-Procedure: Right after the tattooing, the treated area may appear darker and bolder than desired. Some redness and mild swelling are common.
Days 1-2: The color will continue to appear intense during the first couple of days. There might be some slight discomfort or tenderness. It’s important to keep the area clean and follow any aftercare instructions provided by your artist.
Days 3-7: As the top layer of skin starts to heal, you may notice scabbing and flaking. The color of the tattoo will begin to fade and soften. This is a normal part of the healing process, and it’s essential not to pick at or scratch the area to avoid pigment loss.
Week 2: By the end of the second week, the tattooed area will start to settle into its final color and appearance. Any scabs and flaking should be mostly gone.
Week 3-4: The final results become more apparent. It’s common to schedule a touch-up appointment at this stage, if necessary, to address any areas that may need additional pigment.
Long-Term: The longevity of cosmetic tattooing can vary depending on factors like skin type, aftercare, and the specific technique used. It’s normal for the tattooed area to fade gradually over time, and maintenance touch-ups are typically recommended every 1-3 years.
Remember that the healing process may differ from person to person, so it’s essential to follow the aftercare guidelines provided by your artist and reach out to them if you have any concerns during the recovery period.
The duration of your cosmetic tattoo results can be influenced by various factors, including lifestyle, skin type, overall health, aftercare practices, and personal preferences. On average, a single session of ombre powder brows, using high-quality pigments, typically lasts between 1 to 3 years, depending on the chosen style. While the pigment will naturally fade over time, ombre powder brows tend to maintain their color longer compared to microblading.
To extend the lifespan of your eyebrows, it’s recommended to apply sunblock regularly and avoid harsh facial treatments in the brow area. These practices can help keep your cosmetic tattoo looking its best for a longer duration.
The ombre powder technique is performed using a specialized rotary pen tattoo machine designed for facial applications, ensuring minimal vibration. This method employs a single needle to create tiny nano dots within the skin, gradually building up a soft, shaded effect. Notably, the artist does not poke individual dots but rather swiftly draws, causing the needle to skip and seamlessly blend, resulting in a gradient shade.
This machine rotates the needle in and out of the skin, ensuring even and smooth pigment insertion, in stark contrast to the scratching motion associated with microblading. (Microblading employs a dipping and dragging motion, akin to calligraphy, whereas powder brows involve the needle moving in and out of the skin, resembling the action of a sewing machine.) The needle is exceptionally sharp, allowing for effortless gliding without resistance from the skin, minimizing trauma.
The micro-incisions created during the process are incredibly tiny, closing within a few hours, facilitating a straightforward healing process. Powder brows are gentle on the skin, causing minimal trauma and offering greater comfort. Unlike hairstrokes, ombre or powder brows provide a smooth, soft, and shaded brow appearance. The term “ombre brows” is synonymous with “powder brows.”
- No, you do not need to shave off your own eyebrows. Every effort is made to preserve your natural hair and seamlessly incorporate it into the design of your permanent eyebrows. In certain situations where reshaping the natural brow is necessary for a clean and aesthetically pleasing outcome, a minimal number of hairs may be gently removed.
It’s important to understand that the outcomes of cosmetic tattooing can be quite unique for each person. They’re influenced by factors like your skin type, blood type, daily habits, the hair you already have, your facial structure, the shape of your face, any medications you may be taking, how many times the area has been worked on, and how well you follow the aftercare instructions.
While we strive for excellent results, it’s essential to know that no one can guarantee a 100% success rate because everyone’s skin responds differently to permanent makeup. In some cases, you may still find it beneficial to use a pencil or powder for the desired effect. Your satisfaction is our priority, and we’ll work closely with you to achieve the best possible outcome.
